Buenos Aires, December 17 (EFE). – The President of Argentina, Javier Miley, went on Sunday to vote in the presidential elections for Boca Juniors, a club in the Argentine capital of which he is a member.

Miley, who publicly supported the nomination of the opposition formula of Andres Ibarra and former Argentine President Mauricio Macri (2015-2019), went to vote at the headquarters of the Bombonera Club.

Video clips spread on social media showing the club’s fans chanting and insulting Milly inside the sports entity, who assumed the position of President of Argentina on December 10 last.

Boca Juniors will celebrate its presidential elections on Sunday after the Argentine judiciary lifted the suspension that burdened the institution due to alleged irregularities in the membership register, denounced by the opposition.

In this election, former footballer and now club vice-president Juan Roman Riquelme is aspiring to head the entity with Jorge Amor Amuels, the club’s current supreme leader, in second place.

The opposition formula is headed by economist Andres Ibarra, and is supported by Macri, who actually headed Boca between 1997 and 2005.

Macri is a political ally of Meli, who gave his vocal support for Argentina’s presidential runoff on November 19, in which the liberal defeated the Peronist candidate, Sergio Massa. Evie
