Jeju Air Flight 1408 lurched from side to side as it battled strong winds from Typhoon Shanshan before taking off again.

Reuters was able to confirm the location of the video based on the green-roof structure, buildings seen in the distance and the bridge seen in the video, which matched archival and satellite images of the area.

Specialty sites such as FlightRadar24 and Flight Aware showed that Jeju Airlines Flight 1408 attempted to land near Fukuoka Airport at 2304 GMT a minute later before taking off again.

Fukuoka Prefecture lies north of the Japanese island of Kyushu, where Typhoon Shanshan made landfall on Thursday, bringing strong winds and heavy rain.
