University of Texas center Mo Bamba refused to share medicals with the Memphis Grizzlies and does not want the team to draft him, according to a report from ESPN.com’s Jonathan Givony.
The Grizzlies have the fourth overall pick in the draft.
“Bamba has refused to come to work out for Memphis, refused to share his medicals and has told them openly he would prefer not to be in Memphis,” Givony said on 92.9 ESPN.
Bamba averaged 12.9 points and 10.5 rebounds during this past college season, shooting 54.1 percent from the field. Draft experts have Bamba going as high as No. 3 overall to the Atlanta Hawks.
The Boston Celtics have expressed interest in Bamba, according to a report from Sporting News. The Celtics currently hold the No. 27th pick and would need to trade up into the lottery to select the talented Bamba.
