The Chicago Bulls are signing rookie free agent shooting guard Justin Simon, according to Adam Zagoria of ZagsBlog.
Simon is 6-foot-5 and went undrafted out of St. John’s, where he averaged 10.4 points and 5.1 rebounds last season. He was also named the Big East Defensive Player of the Year.
The Bulls currently have 14 players on guaranteed contracts with guard Shaquille Harrison all but locked in to the 15th and final role. That means Simon is likely headed to the Windy City Bulls of the G League, per Zagoria.
An Exhibit 10 contract is a one-year, minimum salary deal. It includes an Exhibit 10 attachment, which allows teams to convert it to a two-way deal as they see fit.
Simon worked out for several teams this offseason, including the Miami Heat and Charlotte Hornets.
