Hawks sign guard Goodwin to two-way contract

Brandon Goodwin appeared in 16 games with the Nuggets last season as a rookie.

The Atlanta Hawks have signed free agent guard Brandon Goodwin to a two-way contract, the team announced in a news release.

Goodwin is 6-foot-2 and appeared in 16 games with the Denver Nuggets as a rookie last season, averaging 1.4 points. Most of his time was spent in the G League with the Iowa Wolves and Memphis Hustle.

In 26 G-League games, Goodwin averaged 22.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 5.3 assists.

Goodwin, 23, went undrafted out of Florida Gulf Coast in 2018.

The Hawks’ backcourt currently includes notables such as Trae Young, Evan Turner, Kevin Huerter and Allen Crabbe.
