Mavericks concerned about Luka Doncic’s physical condition
The Slovenian national team, led by Luka Doncic, achieved the deserved seventh place in the 2023 Basketball World Cup.It is a key site for the European national team’s aspirations in the pre-Olympics phase. Despite being one of the leading names at the World Cup, the Slovenian has not been able to fully develop his game. And that is it Luka Doncic suffered some discomfort in his left thigh last MayThis caused him to miss five games this season with the Mavericks. With the World Cup already over, Doncic will admit he hasn’t fully recovered from said injury, making Dallas focus on their franchise player..
“I don’t know what to say, but it’s not true. Now I have to prepare for the entire NBA seasonDoncic said when asked by Grant Offset, a reporter for V Sports Illustrated. Later, Luca himself admitted his legs “still feel heavy” from being on the hardwood, assuming he hadn’t fully recovered from his injury last season. Despite the injury… The Slovenian decided to participate with his team in the FIBA World Cup, and later said that he “would not have done so if he had not thought it posed a danger” to his health..
With just over a month to go until the start of the new season of the NBA, Luka Doncic will be racing against time to try and recover his form. Participation in the World Cup significantly shortens their recovery period compared to other players who did not participate in the event, such as the North American superstars who do not see the World Cup as important as the Olympic Games. Despite the inconvenience, Doncic was one of the big names in the competition held in the Philippines, Japan and Indonesia, averaging 27 points and 6.1 points per game, enough to rank among the perfect quintet. Along with Dennis Schroeder, Shay Gilgos-Alexander, Anthony Edwards, and Bojan Bogdanovic.
Problems for Mavericks
Doncic is expected to arrive in Dallas later this week for the start of the NBA prep phase. The Mavericks will have to contend with a completely uncharted situation, in which Luca has a full possession, but has been in trouble since last season, to try and fight for a spot in the playoffs. Dallas has tried to build a team that can fight for it all this summer. And after last season’s debacle where they failed to make the playoffs in a more than controversial decision to try and achieve a high spot in the draft. All the spotlight this season will be heading squarely to Dallas, with many analysts skeptical about the possibility of turning Luca’s left leg, which from here on out will be one of the items that will inevitably give something to talk about all season.
