Former Phoenix Suns forward Alec Peters has agreed to a one-year contract with Russian club CSKA Moscow, the team announced in a press release.
Peters is 6-foot-9 and was selected by the Suns out of Valparaiso in the second round (No. 54 overall) of the 2017 draft. He averaged 4.1 points and 1.9 rebounds in 20 games as a rookie — including a 36-point outburst in the regular-season finale.
That perforamcemade him the only player besides Houston Rockets star James Harden to record at least 35 points with eight 3-pointers made and seven rebounds in a single game.
Excited to announce that I have signed with CSKA Moscow for the next season. Beyond thankful for the opportunity the club is giving me. Time to go win a Euroleague title! https://t.co/zd3rQfbvma
