Free agent swingman Tyreke Evans has signed a one-year contract with the Memphis Grizzlies, according to a report from ESPN.
Evans most recently played with the Sacramento Kings after being part of the DeMarcus Cousins trade with the New Orleans Pelicans in February. It was Evans’ second stint with the Kings.
Evans averaged 10.3 points and 3.4 rebounds in just 40 games overall last season.
Evans, 27, is 6-foot-6 and is known as a deft ball-handler and solid team player who keeps things moving. His arrival, coupled with that of free agent signee Ben McLemore could potentially spell the end of shooting guard Tony Allen in Memphis.
