Free agent Randle signs in China after drawing interest from NBA

Point guard Chasson Randle appeared in 49 games with the Wizards last season.

Free agent guard Chasson Randle has signed a “lucrative” contract with the Tianjin Ronggang Gold Lions of China, according to Emiliano Carchia of Sportando.

Randle, 26, appeared in a career-high 49 games last season with the Washington Wizards, averaging 5.5 points. He appeared in 18 games with the New York Knicks in 2017-18, and eight games with the Philadelphia 76ers the year before that.

The 6-foot-2 Randle has alsop spent time in the G League and playing professionally overseas.

He has recently drawn interest from the Atlanta Hawks, Portland Trail Blazers, Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks, Golden State Warriors and Chicago Bulls, a league source told Ben Stinar of Amico Hoops.
