The Miami Heat and coach Erik Spoelstra have agreed to a four-year contract extension, according to multiple reports.
Spoelstra, 48, is entering his 12th season as head coach of the Heat. His tenure with the same team is the second-longest in the league, behind only Gregg Popovich of the San Antonio Spurs.
Spoelstra has spent his entire career with the Heat, dating back to his days as a video coordinator in 1995.
He has compiled a 523-363 overall record and guided the Heat to two championships during the LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh era.
