Pelicans sign veteran shooting guard Redick to two-year deal

Former Sixers guard J.J. Redick has found a new home with the Pelicans.

Free agent shooting guard J.J. Redick has agreed to a two-year contract with the New Orleans Pelicans, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The deal is for $26.5 million, Wojnarowski reported.

Redick, 35, was an unrestricted free agent after two seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers. He averaged 18.1 points in 76 games this past season.

He will add veteran perimeter shooting to a young Pelicans squad that features the likes of Zion Williamson, Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart and others.
