Report: Durant remains undecided on next destination

Warriors star forward Kevin Durant is expected to miss next season while rehabbing a torn Achilles.

Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant has yet to make a decision on where he’ll sign in free agency, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, citing a source.

Per reports, Durant opted out of his contract and officially became an unrestricted free agent Wednesday. Durant is expected to miss all of next season after rupturing his Achilles tendon in the Warriors’ NBA Finals loss to the Toronto Raptors.

Along with potentially returning to the Warriors, Durant has been linked to the Brooklyn Nets, New York Knicks and Los Angeles Clippers.

According to Slater, the possibility of Durant signing with the Nets “is legit,” while the Knicks :still have hope.” The Knicks were once considered favorites but became “a victim of variables,” Slater reported.

Durant, 30, averaged 26,0 points, 6.4 rebounds and 5.9 assists in 78 games with the Warriors this past season.

“Durant can sign a four-year, $164 million deal with another team, and remains eligible to sign a five-year, $221 million deal with the Warriors,” ESPN inside Adrian Wojnarowski noted.
