Source: Clippers, Hornets express interest in Meeks

Veteran guard Jodie Meeks appeared in 14 playoff games with the world champion Raptors.

The Los Angeles Clippers and Charlotte Hornets have expressed interest in free agent guard Jodie Meeks, a source told Ben Stinar of Amico Hoops.

Meeks, 31, signed with the Toronto Raptors in late March and was a member of the championship-winning team three months later.

He appeared in eight regular-season games and 14 playoff games.

Meeks averaged 6.4 points with the Raptors and 6.3 points in 77 games with the Washington Wizards in 2017-18.

He has also spent time with the Orlando Magic, Detroit Pistons, Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers and Milwaukee Bucks.

The Clippers backcourt currently features the likes of Lou Williams, Patrick Beverley and Landry Shamet.

The Hornets added Terry Rozier this offseason after losing Kemba Walker. Meeks would likely get more playing time with Charlotte than Los Angeles.
