The Golden State Warriors brought in veteran center Hasheem Thabeet for a workout on Friday, a league source told Ben Stinar of Amico Hoops.
Thabeet, 32, is 7-foot-3 and was drafted by the Memphis Grizzlies with the No. 2 overall pick in 2009. He has also spent time with the Houston Rockets and Portland Trail Blazers, and last played in the NBA with the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2013-14.
“Thabeet spent this past year transforming his body and he has heard from multiple NBA teams that he is in great shape,” Stinar recently reported.
Thabeet carries NBA career averages of 2.2 points and 2.7 rebounds. He has also played professionally in Japan and in the G League with the Grand Rapids Drive, the Detroit Pistons’ affiliate.
Thabeet has had multiple workouts with both the New York Knicks and Milwaukee Bucks recently.
