Farrell was officially signed late last week. He is 6-foot-1 and spent last season as a rookie with the G League’s Delaware Blue Coats. He averaged 10.7 points and 6.1 assists in 45 games.
Farrell is a Notre Dame product. He likely signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Spurs, as per Shaw, he is expected to play for the the Spurs’ G League affiliate in Austin, perhaps earning some guaranteed money.
The Spurs are loaded at point guard with Dejounte Murray, Patty Mills, Derrick White and Bryn Forbes all capable of playing the position.
