The Phoenix Suns have signed forward Tariq Owens to a one-year contract, according to the transactions log of RealGM.
The 6-foot-10 Owens went undrafted out of Texas Tech, where he played the 2018-19 season after stints at Tennessee and St. John’s.
Owens helped the Aggies reach the NCAA Tournament title game, averaging 8.7 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.4 blocked shots in 25.4 minutes in 38 games.
The deal with the Suns is expected to be an Exhibit 10 pact, with Owens likely spending time with the Suns and their G-League affiliate, the Northern Arizona Suns.
