Pedro Truglio’s side qualified on Sunday, leaving upset Genesis on the road and defeating them at the Estadio Estadio Cilato Ucles National 3-0 on aggregate.

The Albus team is considered favorites to win the title, but it faces the “new” Motagua, led by Diego Vazquez, who scored goals and led the Blues to another final.

The Blue Hurricane frustrated Marathon’s hopes and eliminated them from the semi-finals after a 2-2 draw at Yankel Rosenthal Stadium in San Pedro Sula (4-3 overall).

Now comes the big test for the two capital teams, and in the long-awaited final, Motagua will host Olimpia next Sunday, November 17 at 5:00pm in the first leg of the final.

Meanwhile, the return match will be rescheduled, having been scheduled to take place on December 23, one day before Christmas Eve, but will now be played on Thursday 21 at 7pm.

The National Stadium of Chilato Ucles will be the scene of both duels and will host the great Honduran football festival and where the Apertura 2023 champion will be known.
