The Minnesota Timberwiolves are signing forward Jordan Murphy to an Exhibit 10 deal, according to Jon Kraczynski of The Athletic.
Murphy is 6-foot-6 and went undrafted out of Minnesota. He has been working out for the Timberwolves for much of the summer, Kraczynski noted.
Murphy went undrafted after compiling averages of 14.4 points and 11.0 rebounds in 36 games last season.
The Timberwolves currently have 19 players under contract. If they sign both Murphy and Tyus Battle, as has been reported, they will have to make another minor roster move before camp. Teams are allowed to carry 20 players in training camp.
The Wolves have a glut of wing-type players with the likes of Andrew Wiggins, lottery pick Jarrett Culver, Jake Layman, Josh Okogie and Keita Bates-Diop among them.
