European guard Alexey Shved is drawing interest from NBA teams for a possible return to the league, his agent told Emiliano Carchia of Sportando.
“He’s entering free-agency as one of the best players outside the NBA, and a handful of clubs have called to check his availability,” Carchia paraphrased agent Obrad Fimic as saying. “We recently turned down an offer from China for the 2020-21 season.”
Shved, 31, is a 6-foot-6 combo guard who spent last season with Russian club Khimki. He played in the NBA from 2012-15 with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Philadelphia 76ers, New York Knicks and Houston Rockets.
He averaged NBA career-highs of 14.8 points and 4.6 rebounds during his final NBA season in 2014-15. He’s also averaged more than 20 points per game in each of his previous three EuroLeague seasons.
