Warriors announce signing of former lottery pick Chriss

Warriors forward Marquese Chriss appeared in 27 games with the Cavaliers last season.

Forward Marquese Chriss is set to begin his first season with the Golden State Warriors, as the team has made the signing official in a news release.

Chris, 22, is 6-foot-10 and spent the final 27 games of last season with the Cleveland Cavaliers after starting with the Houston Rockets. The former eighth overall pick (2016, Phoenix Suns) averaged 5.7 points and 4.2 rebounds with the Cavs.

He became an unrestricted free agent after the season.

Along with Chriss, the Warriors have added Willie Cauley-SteinOmari Spellman and rookie Eric Paschell to the frontcourt since the end of last season.
