Warriors sign free agent guard Harrison to camp deal

Shooting guard Andrew Harrison spent time with the Cavaliers, Grizzlies and Pelicans last season.

Free agent shooting guard Andrew Harrison has agreed to a training camp contract with the Golden State Warriors, Harrison’s agent told Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Harrison, 24, is 6-foot-5 and spent time with the Memphis Grizzlies, Cleveland Cavaliers and New Orleans Pelicans last season, compiling an average of 3.2 points in 17 total appearances.

He was released by the Pelicans in early January after signing a two-way deal with the club a month earlier. He finished the season in Russia with Khimki Moscow.

As Wojnarowski noted, the Warriors are currently carrying 14 guaranteed contracts. They have emerged from the Western Conference five straight times, winning three championships in that span.

The Warriors’ backcourt depth chart currently includes All-Stars Steph Curry and D’Angelo Russell, as well as Alec Burks and Klay Thompson once Thompson returns from knee surgery.
