A letter sent to the San Francisco Chronicle finally exploded by experts, revealing a message in which the serial killer mocked attempts to locate him.
In a code message sent to the newspaper in 1969, the killer wrote: “I hope you are very happy to try to catch me.” I am not afraid of the gas chamber because it will send me to heaven as soon as I have enough slaves to work with. “
The letter contained a combination of letters, numbers and symbols, and has been researched for many years by many authors, criminal experts and detectives. It has not yet revealed the name of the unknown killer who appeared in Northern California in the 1960s and 1970s.
Decoding was done in the hope that it might give new clues about the sign of the zodiac. The killer has been linked to at least 37 murders, many of them young couples in rural areas.
“Last weekend, a team I was with settled 340 (police name for reference) and submitted it to the FBI,” said David Orange, an index expert. Told the Chronicle on Friday. “They have confirmed the solution. No kidding! This is the real deal. ”
