1 in 3 Mexicans has already been vaccinated against COVID: Health – El Financiero

The Minister of Health It was announced this Tuesday that due to advances in vaccination against COVID-19 in Mexico, one in three Mexicans will be vaccinated against the virus.

“When we see by state, 32 percent is vaccination coverage for adults, it’s already a third. Practically one in three people in Mexico have been vaccinated,” said Dr. Alcoser, Hugo López Gatell, chief undersecretary for prevention and health promotion.

In the meantime, make it clear 28 million 198 thousand 409 people have been vaccinated today.

17 million 047 thousand 687 people have the full scheme, while 11 million 150 thousand 722 correspond to those who received only the first dose.

In addition, he noted, the first dose provides about 80 percent of the protection that would be achieved with each vaccine, so the second dose increases that protection to make it more permanent.

On the other hand, the state health authorities reported, that the vaccination record has already started for the group of people aged 30 to 39 years.

Lopez-Gatell added that people over the age of 30 can still register for the coronavirus vaccination.
