Science seeks to improve educational processes in Holguin

Taking into account the bank of problems identified by the diagnosis made in the educational sector of Holguín Province, the Scientific Council is developing a project to improve the quality of education in the territory.

Rafael Antonio Aguilera Lopez, Ph.D. in Educational Sciences who attends science activity in the Holguin County Department, reports that this project allows for social networking and the use of scientific findings found in doctoral theses, master’s degrees, and national and international events, with principals and educators to apply it in their educational practices.

To the extent the project is implemented, the results will be improved with teacher feedback. “We will start in the municipalities of Pajuanos, Mayari, Rafael Freire and Holguín, and the results will be disseminated to the rest of the province in line with what has been achieved in practice,” said Aguilera Lopez.

He added that work is focused on preparing principals and teachers to improve the educational treatment that is appropriate for students with special needs in primary schools. Apply solutions to improve this problem through collections of research that provide ways to work in the educational process.

The project also looks for alternatives to using the potential in the community in which the school is located, using factors that affect the quality of teaching and improving the quality of learning.

The director added that “it is necessary to apply the compilation of scientific results that we have, and we must work on how the management of educational institutions supports the results of learning quality.”
