(CNN in Spanish) – The Danish Football Association reported, Thursday, through a statement on its verified Twitter account, that its star player Christian Eriksen You’ll have surgery to place an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator.

According to the Danish Federation, Christian Eriksen agreed to the solution which, according to the statement, was the treatment recommended by specialists in Denmark and internationally.
“We urge everyone to give Christian and his family calm and privacy for some time,” the statement said.
Last Saturday, Christian Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest during the match against Finland at Euro 2020.
At a news conference last Sunday, doctors for the Danish team said that Eriksen “died” before being revived after falling on the field.
The Danish, who played more than 100 matches with his country, played in the lower ranks of Ajax and began his professional career in the Dutch club mentioned.
He is currently a player at Inter Milan, with whom he was crowned the 2020/21 Serie A champion this summer.
