Santo Domingo: The Presidential Directorate of the Reformist Renewal Party (PRR) decided to run as an ally in the 2024 elections, while complaining that the Central Electoral Council (JCE) did not check its documents before refusing to recognize it.

The president of the PRR, Hector Rodríguez Pimentel, said that they are organized in every municipality in the country and that they will wait patiently for another opportunity to repeat their application for recognition before the JCE.

“Our party will continue its public presence and will go to the next electoral contest allying itself with other political forces at various levels of elections, always keeping in mind the interest of the country and the membership of the PRR,” Rodríguez Pimentel said.

Osiris de Leon, General Secretary; Vice Presidents Ora Peralta and Rosita Mineo; Freddy Roa, Secretary to Elections; Eduardo de León, Jaime Ildefonso Rodriguez, Rafael Cosme, Luis José Russo, Hector A. Rodriguez, Miguel Burgos, Rafael Infante, Fiore Aries, Vinicio Encarnacion, Dulce García and Jose Espilat, among other members of the Presidential Directorate.

Decisions were taken unanimously, including the decision to set up a high-level committee to explore the possibilities of an electoral coalition, for both national and local nominations. This committee was chaired by Hector Rodríguez Pimentel and consisted of Osiris de Leon, Ura Peralta and Rosita Menino.
