On Tuesday, November 23, the Arnedo House of Culture will host the conference “Key Participatory Governance in the Sustainable Local Development of the Ríojan Peoples”, by José Angel Llorente, Professor of Geography at UNED. It takes place, face to face, at 6.30 pm. Entry will be free until full capacity is reached.
This activity is part of the second La Rioja Science and Innovation Week, organized by the Government of La Rioja and the University of La Rioja, in collaboration with Logroño City Council. It is supported by the UCC of UR and the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) – Ministry of Science and Innovation.
The conference will address the keys to the sustainable development of the region, which involves social, economic and environmental progress. This requires the participation of those who live in the aforementioned area in decision-making in order to achieve local development on the basis of sustainability. Who better than someone who lives in a place to contribute suggestions, ideas, suggestions, and needs of the place they live in? Do you not think that the inhabitants of a place should be the ones who decide, together with the relevant authorities, what measures should be taken to develop their area? The conference will attempt to answer these and other questions.
