Four Cuban baseball players renew their contract with Dragones de Chunichi
Towers Yariel Rodriguez and Frank Abel Alvarez, and center players Pedro Pablo Revilla and Guillermo García, have renewed contracts with the Dragones de Chunichi of Japanese professional baseball.
Camaguey’s right-hander signed a two-year agreement, while the rest of baseball’s players got at least one more season.
Star player Omar Linares Izquierdo also made his new deal official, in this case as coach of the franchise that belongs to the so-called Central League.
Juan Reynaldo Pérez Pardo, president of the Federation of Cuban Baseball (FCB), accompanied the operation and spoke extensively with the athletes and some relatives.
In his words, in addition to congratulating them on the new move, he updated them on the progress of the Cuban Elite Baseball League and preparation for the V World Baseball Classic.
It also highlighted the importance of their contracts and the contribution they make in sporting and financial terms to FCB, which receives fees from clubs for the right to coach. Perez Pardo has even explained some aspects and lines in which this funding was used.
Dragones has in its ranks, in addition to these players, the closest star Rydel Martinez.
