Health Secretary Carlos Melloto confirmed that passengers on board the Mardi Gras ship this afternoon had not been notified of a positive case of COVID-19.

This is in the face of the information that has arisen about the investigation initiated by Disease Control Centers (CDC, for its acronym in English), to the Carnival Cruise Line ship that arrived in Puerto Rico this morning.

“The Maddie Cross ship did not report any positive cases of COVID-19 among its passengers. Serious cases are associated with other conditions; intestinal inflammation and gastrointestinal problems are negative tests for the virus,” Mellado said.
