Gonzalo Salguero will be the new president of the Official Basketball Association.
The list of 2177, bearing the slogan “Believe, Innovate, and Grow” remained with the elections after the final scrutiny was completed, when the opposition movement that would come headed by Salguero was declared winning. The steering committee was divided between the two sectors that were nominated for election, with three positions for each list to join the new president and complete the seven members. The winner won 40 voters, while the 1704 list that came with Diego Ortiz to the presidency ended with 36. The names that will form the council are not yet known, except for the governors who head each list.
The new authorities come with ideas ranging from establishing refereeing improvement clinics where priority is given to developing new litter and obtaining funds to continue promoting the basketball school developed at Ujobb headquarters. The main idea is to participate in participatory budgeting with the intent of placing the roof of the court next to the floating floor. As a final point, the creation of joint federations was discussed with ANEBU, BUA and APR in order to present projects for the development of national basketball and general mutual support between the various federations.
