Players meet up with the MSPyBS – Basketball authorities

This morning at 11:30, local basketball players will have a meeting with the authorities of the Ministry of Public Health and Welfare (MSPyBS), with the aim of creating something tangible for the return of competitions in our country.

Athletes Bruno Zanotti Cavazzoni, Edison Ortiz, Guillermo Osorio and Marta Peralta, the leading professional basketball first-class and their high hopes in their bags, will meet with Deputy Minister Julio Rollon at the appointed time.

These players are with a movement seeking to return basketball to the stadiums, demanding to lose their space and means of work, which many of them have remained, because they are professionally devoted to the practice of this discipline sport.

The Paraguayan Basketball Association (CPB) submitted the health protocol to the National Sports Secretariat (SND) in June of last year, while in September of that year, a meeting was also held for a center providing emergency operations guidelines for restarting the club’s activities.

However, so far the problem has not been resolved and the limitations, whether for practices or training courses, or more so for competitions, remain in effect, amid allegations by basketball workers, who “seek court.”
