    Rachel Palkovich is the Marlins' new director of player development

    Rachel Palkovich became the new director of player development for the Miami Marlins on Tuesday, taking another step in her professional baseball career, where she pioneered and made history within the New York Yankees.

    Balkovic has worked for three organizations in professional baseball since 2012. The last two seasons he was manager of the Yankees' Class A affiliate, where he was important in closely monitoring the growth of young players.
