Robert De Niro and John Boega hit the net on Netflix with “The Formula”
Robert De Niro and John Boyce will star in the Netflix movie “The Formula” in which a racing driver is forced to use his driving skills in the criminal world.
Gerard McMurray will direct and write the film on the digital stage this Monday, in which De Niro will also appear as producer.
McMurray will return to Netflix after filming “Burning Sands” (2017) for the giant film “Streaming”.
“Formula” focuses on a Formula 1 star who, in order to save his family, is forced to become a driver for criminals, who must flee from the authorities after he falls.
De Niro, who won two Oscars for “The Godfather: Part II” (1974) and “Raging Bull” (1980), is considered one of the greatest artists in history, last year for “The War with Grandpa” (2020).
De Niro will return with “The Formula” to work at Netflix after his excellent collaboration with Martin Scorsese, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci on “The Irishman” (2019).
For his part, Boega became the young star of today’s cinema, thanks to Finn’s role in the third trilogy of “Star Wars”: “Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens” (2015), “Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi” (2017) And “Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker” (2019).
The actor has also starred in a film like “Pacific Rim: Rise” (2018), which is an apocalyptic and science fiction blockbuster in which he made his debut as a producer.
He was recently featured on the acclaimed television program “Small Ax” (“12 Years a Slave”, 2013), which included five films directed by Steve McQueen.
