Speed boats and jet skis compete for space with swimmers in Ponta Negra

As a way to mitigate the 30-degree heat on Sunday (10), according to the National Institute of Meteorology (INMET), hundreds of swimmers went to Ponta Negra Beach in Marica.
The problem is that they were forced on the site to share space with speedboats and jet-skis that cut about 50 meters of them into the sea, which posed risks to their physical safety.
At the request of the swimmers, the fire brigade agents confirmed that they blew the whistle at the pilots as a way to remove the boats but to no avail.
The situation reportedly occurred mainly at the corner of the beach near the canal exit. At around 11 am, a boat passed very close to the Baths. Jet skis were traded during the afternoon.
Over the phone, the fire department consultant said only the Navy was independent to speak about the issue. The agency can only notify drivers or allow them to capture ships that have committed violations.
The Port Authority is no longer required until the report is published.
A firefighter, who preferred to remain anonymous, said that according to the law, in order to dock a boat, it is necessary to navigate vertically on the shore, with a top speed of 3 knots (5.5 km / h) and a minimum distance of 50 meters. .
Only beaches with designated lanes are permitted, with a maximum speed of 3 knots (5.5 km / h) always in mind.
