Saturday night became a day to remember for Ecuadorian soccer. Liga de Quito won its fifth international title and its second South American Cup, defeating Fortaleza on penalties (4-3) in the final.

Albos also extended their advantage over immediate followers Independiente del Valle in continental trophies won in Conmebol competitions.

The capital team arrived in Quito at the Mariscal Sucre airport, where they were greeted with a water arch to commemorate the new achievement.

Crowds of fans gathered to welcome the Ecuadorian team with songs, banners and flags. Albo Club fans waited patiently around the Quito airport before joining the celebratory caravan.

At 7:00pm local time, the route of champions started from the Petrocuador gas station at Mariscal Sucre Airport. It plans to continue along Ruta Viva until it reaches Simon Bolivar Avenue and then take Granados Avenue.

However, the bus carrying the winners of the continental tournament moved slowly due to the crowd.

The route of the capital passes through Av. Go south on 6 de Deciembre, then take the AV. Arrive at Patria, Central University and continue along Av. America and reach the final stop, Plaza de las Americas.
