The name of the huge factory was changed to Dejan Milojevic

AndThe Serbian Mega Club renamed its sports hall in Belgrade to “Dejan Milojevic”. In honor of his late coach, who died last week at the age of 46 following a heart attack in the United States, where he was an assistant coach for the Golden State Warriors team in the American Professional Basketball League. Mega announced on its website that it is changing the name of the “Mega Factory” pavilion to the “Dejan Milojevic” Training Center.

“The Mega MIS Basketball Club will forever hold the memory of Dejan Milojevic and everything he did for this club and for Serbian basketball,” the note notes. He points out that at Mega he made “an immeasurable contribution to the development of a large number of high-level players.”

He was a player for clubs such as Valencia or Serbian Partizan and for the Yugoslav national team, with which he won the gold medal in the European Championship in Turkey in 2001. He became a coach in 2012, after early retirement due to knee problems, and his first club was Mega, which brought him his first trophy, the Radivoje Korac Cup, which he managed until 2020.

Milojevic died after suffering a heart attack while working with the Saint Lake City franchise and underwent emergency surgery but was unable to overcome the situation. Partizan invited fans to attend the ABA Regional League match against Mega tonight at Stark Arena in Belgrade wearing black shirts to honor Milojevic. Free admission.

“A man with an infectious smile and a huge heart, he was an impeccable fighter The example for many who later became new basketball idols“, said Partizan, where Milojevic played from 2004 to 2006 and in 2009.
