Sheridan Smith was offended when her dogs began to “ hump ” behind her, leaving Holly Willoughby red-faced on Wednesday this morning.

The star Cilla, 39, was telling the broadcaster, 39, and Philip Schofield, 58, about the new Pooch Perfect dog grooming program, while her four pets played behind her.

Sheridan’s dogs seemed to be in good spirits as they shed each other in motion, before their toys seemed to take an unexpectedly intimate turn.

Before the lively interaction, Sheridan apologized to Holly and Phil that the dogs were playing together, and asked Holly, “ Is this normal behavior for them behind you? Just check everything is fine.

Sheridan was embarrassed and said: No, it’s normal. They said they wanted to mess, I’m sorry, and I said, Are you sure?

She tried to calm the dogs down as they kept playing with each other, but she joked to Holly and Phil: “You can tell I’m really good with my dogs that they’re well trained.”

More chaos ensued when one dog appeared jumping behind the other, indicating that they would become more intimate.

In an attempt to alleviate the situation, Phil quipped, “You can probably get the shot a little tight, tilted up!”

Oops: More chaos occurred when one dog appeared jumping behind the other, indicating that they would become more intimate as an elephant laughed and said, “Oh, oh, hello!”

While another viewer brazenly added: “Certainly some ‘doggy style’ is happening now.”

Featuring 16 professional dog groomers from across the country, Pooch Perfect sees Sheridan looking for the best dog designer in the UK by hosting a beauty contest alongside her gentle host Stanley.

She will assign the groomer a series of themed challenges each week that will see the dogs go through epic transformations to delight the viewers.

These challenges will vary in style, and their creations on The Dogwalk will then be revealed to the judges to discuss which of the week’s competitors impressed them the most.

It is at this point that dog owners will be able to see their newly converted dogs for the first time since designers put their skills to the test.
