Los Angeles Dodgers boss Todd Boyle is set to win the battle to own Chelsea – despite Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s last-gasp bid.

This is because the Boehly Group has already been given a favored position by brokers Roman Abramovich, the US-based Raine Group,

The Boehly team was told that they were given an “exclusive period” to discuss the final terms and conditions of the acquisition package.

And there is no indication that Ryan is willing to accept such a quick change of course, with Ratcliffe simply delaying the party.

The British billionaire approached Raine this morning and made an offer in the region of £4 billion.

The owner of the petrochemical giant, Ineos, met Chelsea President Bruce Buck on Thursday to discuss the possibility of a bid being submitted for consideration.

Ratcliffe told The Times: “We made a show this morning.

We are the only British offer. Our motives are simply to try and set up a high-profile club in London. We are not motivated to profit because we make our money in other ways.”

Ratcliffe, season ticket holder at Stamford Bridge, wants to use £1.75 billion of his bid to upgrade the team and stadium.

But now it seems that Buhli’s show will be the successful one.

Elsewhere, Anton Ferdinand urged West Ham to raid Chelsea in favor of Armando Bruga.

He told SunSport exclusively: “I would like us to go and get Broja, who is at Southampton on loan from Chelsea.

“He’s sexy. He can finish. He’s a tough guy.

“Not the same but similar to Antonio in terms of his presence and strength.

“He’s ready to run as centre-backs and for me personally, he’s the one West Ham should be looking for.”
