Treasury ends up sending $ 600 to citizens

The Treasury is close to achieving the target of $ 600 economic stimulus payments to citizens, as announced by agency leaders through a virtual conference.

Treasury Secretary Francisco Paris Alicia reports that so far $ 1,445,532,770 has been disbursed to 1,752,427 families.

The agency’s agent, Angel Pantuga Rodriguez, indicated that they had already reached the aforementioned figure and confirmed that they understood that “we have fulfilled the expectations that we had for this second round of payment.”

Baris Alicia also noted that 135,708 checks have been produced, the vast majority of which have already been sent, while others are waiting to come out this week.

People who did not receive payment due to various reasons may have a second chance to claim it in the 2020 return filing process.

“We have complied and we’re in that final stage, and these two days for the Treasury Department will be very important,” Barries said.

He added that despite the distribution of this second federal stimulus with the greatest diligence possible, at this final stage there is still a stock of 30,525 deposits that have not been completed due to the banks ’rejection of them.

The agency was established until next Friday to update the account and be able to receive the payment.
