Devin Booker returned to the lineup for the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night after sitting out the previous nine games because of injury.
Booker suffered a strained left adductor in the fourth quarter against the Toronto Raptors back on Dec. 5. The 6-foot-6 guard returned to practice Sunday was in the Suns’ starting lineup for their game against the visiting Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday.
The 21-year-old Booker was averaging career bests in points (24.3), rebounds (4.5) and assists (4.1) playing 34.0 minutes in 25 games for the Suns this season.
“I hope that’s exactly what gets that unit going,” Phoenix coach Jay Triano told reporters before the game. “We’re obviously going to have more points on the floor to start the game right now.”
Phoenix (12-23) went 3-6 while Booker was sidelined.
