The Memphis Grizzlies have waived center Dakari Johnson, general manager Chris Wallace announced Friday in a press release.
It’s been quite a summer ride for Johnson, who was traded from Oklahoma City to the Orlando Magic following the season — then from the Magic to the Grizzlies in July. So the 7-footer never even suited up for the Grizzlies.
Johnson appeared in 31 games last season and averaged less than two points last season for the Thunder. He was selected by OKC out of Kentucky in the second round (No. 48 overall) of the 2015 draft.
