The 6-foot-11, 245-pound Wagner was selected with the 25th overall pick in the draft, a pick Los Angeles acquired from the Cleveland Cavaliers along with Isaiah Thomas and Channing Frye in exchange for Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr. on Feb. 8.
The Lakers open preseason play Sunday night against the Denver Nuggets at Valley View Casino Center in San Diego (9:30, ESPN).
