Smith Jr. draws interest from Sixers, Knicks

Dennis Smith Jr. is expected to be among the top three or four point guards drafted.

New York and Philadelphia are among the teams to contact the representatives of point guard Dennis Smith Jr. to schedule a workout, according to a report from ZagsBlog.

Smith Jr. played at N.C. State and is an expected top-10 pick.

The Sixers pick at No. 3 and the Knicks at No. 8, per DraftExpress.com. The Kings, who pick at Nos. 5 and 10, and the Wolves (No.7) also reached out.Knicks President Phil Jackson said last week at the NBA Draft Combine that his team was looking for “guards and wings.”

With the third pick, the Sixers are said to be leaning toward Kansas forward Josh Jackson, or Kentucky guard De’Aron Fox or his Wildcats backcourtmate, Malik Monk.
