The Portland Trail Blazers finished with the third seed in the Western Conference, then were promptly swept out of the first round by New Orleans Pelicans.
It’s led to a lot of questions about the franchise — namely, has it peaked with the current roster and coaching staff? And do changes need to be made?
So rumors of coach Terry Stotts’ future with the club have naturally followed, as have a few other hot-button topics, much revolving around standout guards of Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum.
Lillard said there’s no need to break up the starting backcourt (and both Lillard and McCollum, by the way, have gone to bat for Stotts).
But is Lillard right? Or should Blazers general manager Neil Olshey look into dealing one of his two best players to try to take the franchise to another level?
