Towns, Timberwolves climb to win over Suns

Karl-Anthony Towns and the Timberwolves will look to return to the playoffs after a drama-filled offseason.

Karl-Anthony Towns erupted for 32 points and 12 rebounds, and the Minnesota Timberwolves coasted to a 119-108 win over the visiting Phoenix Suns on Sunday.

Jimmy Butler added 25 points for the Timberwolves, and Andrew Wiggins and Taj Gibson scored 21 and 16, respectively.

The Suns, playing without injured guard Devin Booker (toe), received a team-high 26 points from Mike James.
