The Atlanta Hawks are seeking a second-round draft pick in exchange for either forward Ersan Ilyasova or shooting guard Marco Belinelli, according to a report from Michael Scotto of Basketball Insiders.
Ilyasova is 6-foot-10 and spent 26 games with the Hawks last season. He is averaging 11.2 points and 5.9 rebounds this year.
Belinelli is 6-5 and in his first season with the Hawks. He is averaging 11.8 points and shooting 29 percent on 3-pointers in 41 games.
Both players would be appealing to playoff teams looking for some perimeter shooting off the bench.
“Both players are in the final year of their contracts,” Scotto wrote. “Belinelli is on the books for $6.6 million this season. Ilyasova is due $6 million. … That price tag is contingent on Atlanta not being required to take on a long-term contract involving a player who is not considered an asset.”
The NBA trade deadline is Feb. 8.
