Cavs’ Shumpert has sprained left foot

Former Cavalier Iman Shumpert, now of the Kings, was asked by a youngster why he doesn't play anymore, and he took to Instagram to explain.

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Iman Shumpert sprained his left foot in Wednesday’s preseason game against the Atlanta Hawks, the team said.

He is expected to miss 7-10 days.

Shumpert, 27, played two minutes and grabbed one rebound before suffering the injury.

The Cavs came close on several occasions to trading Shumpert this offseason and remain open to moving him now, league sources said.

LeBron James has missed the past week after turning his ankle, but returned to practice Thursday, reported Jason Lloyd of The Athletic.

  1. Why haven’t the Cavs traded this clown yet? Attach a second round pick and get him out of Cleveland

  2. This sprained ankle is going to make it even more difficult to trade let alone that monster contract that no team wants, including the Cavaliers.
