Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant has not made a decision on where he’s taking his talents next season, according to manager Rich Kleiman.
Instead, Durant is “100 percent undecided,” Kleiman told the Wall Street Journal. “He really doesn’t know, and I really don’t know.”
Durant suffered a right calf strain during the Warriors’ second-round series vs. the Houston Rockets. The Warriors haven’t lost since, going 5-0 with Durant on the sidelines. That includes a sweep of the Portland Trail Blazers in the Western Conference finals.
It is not known when Durant will return, but he will get plenty of rest — as the Warriors have nine days off before The Finals.
After that, Durant is expected to become an unrestricted free agent. He has strongly been linked to the New York Knicks, with one of Durant’s former teammates even saying all that’s left to do is for Durant to sign a contract.
Not so, Kleiman told the Wall Street Journal.
“He’s not scripting his future while he plays the way he plays and practices the way he practices,” Kleiman said.
