Poll: Where will LeBron, Lakers finish in West?

Superstar forward LeBron James and the Lakers are eyeing their first playoff berth together.

LeBron James. Rajon Rondo. Michael Beasley. Lance Stephenson. And you can even throw in JaVale McGee. Those are the veterans the Lakers have added to an otherwise young core.

Of course, no one would care about the other additions, or be wondering how good the Lakers could be, if it weren’t for LeBron. As we’ve seen time and again, with LeBron, all things are possible.

But this is the Western Conference we’re talking about — with everyone from the two-time defending champion Golden State Warriors to the Houston Rockets to perhaps the Oklahoma City Thunder, Portland Trail Blazers, Utah Jazz, New Orleans Pelicans and a host of others standing in the way.

In other words, welcome to the Wild, Wild West, LeBron. This isn’t the JV conference anymore.

So how well can this new band of Lakers really expect to do? Let us know in the poll below.

Where will the Lakers finish in the Western Conference?

First or second seed.
Third or fourth seed.
Fifth of sixth seed.
Seventh of eighth seed.
Won’t make playoffs.

I say Lakers get the 5 or 6 seed. They will start slow, and we will hear it from the Los Angeles press. Lebron is taking a big chance. He was comfortable with the Cleveland media, and Los Angeles will always be Kobe and Magic’s house. Can Lebron bring a championship to Los Angeles? Perhaps, down the road. But it’s never going to feel the same as the one he brought to Cleveland. Lakers will bring someone through a trade, they will get better as the season continues on, but not good enough to play for home court advantage.

  3. 5th at best. If Lebron misses more than 10 games, they don’t make the playoffs.

It’ll be a close call between OKC,Utah ,and Lakers for 3rd seed so I think Lakers will get the 4th seed.

It’ll be a close call between OKC,Lakers and Utah for the 3rd seed , I personally think Lakers will finish behind OKC as I expect PG and Russ to have bounce back seasons so I got the Lakers at 4th

  10. Lakers will fight for the playoffs even with LeBron. They just don’t have a good enough team around him. No shooting and of course the media has pumped up the Lakers young players because they are in LA

  11. They will battle to even make the playoffs. West has too many good teams and the Lakers just aren’t good enough. Even with LeBron it will be tough to get anything higher than a 7th seed at best and I don’t dont really see them making the playoffs. NOT a good enough team around LeBron and no shooting. Media has pumped up the Lakers young kids too much because of them just being the Lakers.
