Point guard Walter Lemon Jr. completed two 10-day contracts and the New Orleans Pelicans had to make a choice — either sign Lemon for the rest of the season or waive him.
The Pelicans are choosing the latter, according to ESPN.
Lemon appeared in five games and compiled averages of 3.4 points and 1.0 assists. He is now likelyu headed back to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the G League.
With Fort Wayne, Lemon averaged 22.7 points, 5.9 assists and 2.1 steals, shooting 49.0 percent from the field.
The 6-foot-3, 180-pound Lemon went undrafted out of Bradley University in 2014 and before hooking up with Fort Wayne, played internationally in Hungary, Germany and Greece.
